A road motion 121 is a request from one user to another to undertake an action with no intermediaries involved. The party held responsible for the action is directly contacted.
The following workflow illustrates the process.
STEP 1... GENERATION OF MOTION
Select the SUBMIT button to create the motion.
The applicant is issued with a unique motion reference code MOT/2006-APR/670.
STEP 2... MOTION NOTED BY ASSIGNEE
The selection of the MOTION NOTED button signals the assignees acceptance of the motion and changes the motion status to open.
Select the IN PROGRESS MOTION LIST button to display a colour coded listing of pending motions.
STEP 3... T3 APPLICATION AGAINST MOTION
A motion request can be linked to a T-form application.

Select the motion you wish to attach to the application
STEP 4...CLOSE MOTION
Enter the action taken and select the CLOSE MOTION to complete the motion workflow
STEP 5...CHECK ROAD INVENTORY FOR MOTIONS
Road inventory contains a record of pending and complete motions for each road allowing for better and more efficient scheduling of work projects
